Lou Breese

American jazz trumpeter, banjoist, violinist, bandleader and entertainer.Born February 10, 1900 in Milford, Massachusetts.
Died January, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois (age of 68, heart attack).
He worked his way through the New England Conservatory of Music by playing at debut parties and oher campus and location functions. He first began as a violinist then concentrated on the trumpet, then later the banjo.
He was a trumpet player for dance and theatre bands in the Chicago, Illinois area. He formed his own dance band in the early 1930s and had his own radio show. He remained active on the Chicago dance band scene until the 1960s. One year, he was selected to play at both the Democratic and the Republican conventions.
