Barstool Prophets
Effective period / Period of releases: 1993 - 1997
Members: Al Morier, Bobby Tamas, Graham Greer, Glenn Forrester
Originating from Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Barstool Prophets began in the late ‘80s as 'The Edsels' before changing their name to The Wallflowers. The band released one album under that name in 1992. As the Jakob Dylan-fronted band of the same name was getting popular around the same time, the band opted to change their name to ‘Barstool Prophets’, taken from a line in their song “Short & Curlies”. They released three albums under this moniker before ultimately breaking up in 1999. They still tour together from time to time.
