Sam Ellison

Real name: Sam Elis Elison

Swedish guitarist and singer, born 23 November 1949 in Backaryd, Blekinge.

He began as a guitarist with the band Episode Five from Nybro, Småland. He then collaborated with Hawkey Franzén and Björn J:son Lindh on a single, and then became a member of their band, Jason's Fleece. After they disbanded, he recorded another single with Franzén, and a selftitled solo album. Göran Lagerberg, Björn Linder, Anders Henriksson, Björn J:son Lindh and Jan Bandel also took part in the latter. In the years 1971–72, Ellison participated in several recordings with, among others, Hoola Bandoola Band, Göran Persson, Narren and the project Sånger om kvinnor, but then seems to have withdrawn. Sam Elison died 3 October 2013 in Nybro.
