The pianist-accompanist, teacher and composer. In 1925-1937 - the leading concertmaster of the Bolshoi Theater. In 1937-1941 - the musical director of the opera ensemble, created by Ivan Kozlosky. In 1943-1958 - head of the youth vocal group Union Radio. He taught at the Moscow Conservatory. Concertmaster of Nadezhda Obukhova, Ivan Kozlosky, N. Spiller.
Almost all recordings of Nadezhda Obukhova for radio and records were made with the participation of Sakharov.
Author of about 20 songs on poems by Russian poets.
