Doug Howell is a singer-songwriter of contemporary Christian and pop music who has released six albums and a growing number of singles. He studied music composition at the University of Michigan, and arranges and conducts his own recordings. Doug was a member of a two groups from 1972–76, appearing on albums from both groups, and contributing some of his songs. He performed as a soloist from 1976 to the mid-1980s in colleges, coffee houses and churches across the US, producing 5 solo albums. He then became a studio musician and arranger, and wrote for radio, TV, video and live events, as well as soundtracks for a dozen children's CD-ROM storybooks. After several decades in the high-tech field, he produced his sixth album in 2010, and has been writing and producing singles since that time, as well as freelance arranging. He currently lives on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.
