Evelyn Mandac

Mandac, a magna cum laude graduate of the UP College of Music, took advanced studies at the Julliard School before embarking on a memorable career in opera in the US. She was the first and only Filipina to have sung at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., she also was the first Filipina soprano to sing in a full-length opera with Placido Domingo
