A loosely knit group of gang members, from both the Bloods and the Crips, who came together during the gang truce of 1992 under the supervision of label exec Ronnie M. Phillips. The goal was to create an outlet for gang members to release their frustrations with each other on records rather than on the streets.

All proceeds from the initial Bangin On Wax album sales went towards local schools and parks for the children. Soon after, Ronnie brought in new talent to add to the momentum they just created by dropping Bangin On Wax 2 in 1994. From there, the gangs went separate ways and began creating their own Blood and Crip tapes with their own aliases - Damu Ridas and Nationwide Rip Ridaz respectively.
