US American psychedelic group, late 1960s.In January,1969, Dion Grody and his group were joined by Trevor Koehler on baritone sax to record their debut album.. Affecting and disconcerting lyrics from 1969 about war, guns, Kennedy, MLK, and the eight arms of Octopus. The initial work by these teenagers stands up well today. The listener will not find lyrics more affecting than those in I think it's understood. There are two really nice blues jams. The other songs are attempts at politically aware psychedelia. Bluesy melodic rock with organ, sax, fuzz. real amateur sound. A highlight is "U.S. Blues" with trippy dippy counterculture lyrics, basement vocals, and avant sax noise.
