Real name: Theodora Castion Taylor
Theodora 'Teddi' Castion Taylor (December 31, 1923 - December 24, 2023) was born and raised in the NYC burroughs of the Bronx and Harlem. She was a song writer and the wife of American bop/hard bop pianist, educator and band leader, Billy Taylor.She contributed songs to her husbands albums and on one record, she wrote every song - The Billy Taylor Septet - Brazilian Beat.
