Colombian band created by Heli Toro Álvarez in 1964 after the Trio Imperial

First line-up (until 1969): Heli Toro Álvarez (director, pianist, accordionist, requinto, vocals), Antonio Muñoz Álvarez (guitar, guacharaca y maracas, vocals), Juan de Dios Acosta Arias (guitar, bass, vocals) and his brother Octavio Acosta Arias (lead vocals)
The brothers Acosta Arias left in 1969, replaced by the brothers Alcides and Ancizar Díaz, and Jorge Caro Fernández, after the Alcides and Ancizar Díaz left in 1971, the band continued as Los Imperiales
