Andrei Chistyakov (January 4, 1949, Leningrad - November 29, 2000, Moscow) - Russian conductor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1999).
He graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory named after Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (now the St. Petersburg Conservatory), a student of I. A. Musin = Илья Мусин.
From 1978 to 1988 he was chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic = The Ural Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 1988 he has been a conductor at the Bolshoi Theatre, Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra. At the same time, in 1995, he created and headed the Rachmaninov Symphony Orchestra = Симфонический Оркестр Имени Сергея Рахманинова.
Credited as Andrei Tchistiakov (or Andrey) in English characters.
