New York rock band active in the early 70s, mostly known for being the first recording act featuring future Kiss drummer Peter Criss.

After Chelsea split up, Criss and Michael Benvenga formed Lips with Criss's cousin Stan Penridge. Benvenga later left Lips who continued as a duo.

In 1973, Pete Shepley and Mike Brand recorded an unreleased album which included post-Chelsea Michael Benvenga, a pre-Kiss Peter Criss, and on two songs Gene Simmons as session musicians. It was titled Captain Sanity.
