Band from Basildon (Essex, UK) formed in 1968. Before named 'Growth' and 'Stevenson's Blues Department'.
In 1969 band performed at Festival in Grays, Essex.

- Barry Skeels - bass
- Paul Reynolds - drums
- Graham "Gruff" Esgrove - guitar.
- Trevor Thoms - guitar
The band released an acetate (God of Darkness/Ballad of Martha Kent) as 'Bum'. When they signed to the Gemini Records label in April 1970, the name was changed to 'Iron Maiden'.
