Jim Nabbie, a tenor vocalist, born Tampa Florida 1920, died Atlanta Georgia 15 September 1992.He was the lead for one of the most popular black vocal groups in the 1930s and 1940s, The Ink Spots. Their music followed a particular formula, a structure which involved baritone, tenor and bass voices harmonising in a velvety-smooth, effortless combination.
