Antoninho Travadinha was a self-taught violinist and musician from Cape Verde.
He started playing in popular dances when he was just 9 years old. In addition to the violin, Travadinha also played viola (12-string guitar), cavaquinho and guitar. Travadinha interpreted traditional musical genres from Cape Verde, such as mornas and coladeiras.
