He made his first experiences in the music business as 14-year-old when he appeared as Ray Ray on the the album "Michael Bivins Presents the Adventures of the Biv 10 Pee-Wee All-Stars". After it flopped he went back to high school in Detroit. He continued to make music in 2003. In 2005 he released his first independent solo album called "People Call Me Ray Ray" which caught the attention of Grand Hustle.
