Ceri Rhys Matthews
Welsh flute player, guitarist and producer, married with Julie Murphy
Ceri Rhys Matthews was born and bred in the Welsh speaking village of Treboeth, now a suburb of Swansea. He plays flute and pipes. He also sings and plays guitar. He plays music with fernhill, burum and in a duo with Christine Cooper, of Tenby. He has recorded two albums of Bagpipe music; Pibau, with Jonathon Shorland, and Pibddawns, a record only. He recorded a CD of mainly solo flute music called yscolan, which also features spoken word and poetry elements from Beverley Evans, and a duet with Christine Cooper.
