Stare was an ethereal wave project of former Gossamer guitarist Gary Thrasher. Existing from 1998 to 2001, the line-up varied over the years, with the constants being Michele Burch-Morehart (vocals, keyboards) and Gary Thrasher (guitars, bass, e-bow, drum programming, keyboards). Over the years, they also featured live contributions from: Alexx Reed (live keyboards and bass), James Dinan (live guitars), Gary Morkassel (live bass), and Keith Krautter (live drums). They toured the Midwest, playing with artists like Faith and the Muse, Bella Morte, Trance to the Sun, and The Curtain Society.
