b. 5 November 1926, Sans Souci, Trinidad, BWI
Influential Trinidadian pan tuner imigrated to the United States in the 1960s. Collaborated with American folklorists Pete Seeger; Murray Narrel (father of Andy Narell & Jeff Narell) and several state university systems in establishing steel band programs, most notably at West Virginia University (WVU) where he helped establish and taught the WVU Steel Drum Ensemble in the WVU School of Music, World Music Performance Center for about 20 years. Past tuner for The United States Navy Steel Band.
