Started as the Unity Stars in Abrepo near Kumansi. It was when these twelve young men plucked sufficient courage to branch out their own that things began happening. Their first few singles became instant hits. Then followed months of struggeling it was that they threw in their lot with Phonogram. Their first visit to the studio spawned the single "Manu Me Ho" Philips PF3335336. It was the praise from all sectors of the music industry and most of all the public, and made the band win its first Golden Disc.
