Real name: Manuela del Río
Spanish prima ballerina (1910-1979) of the Liceo de Barcelona and castanets virtuoso, who made a career as Spanish solo dancer throughout the world (1927-1950) then retired in Paris France and taught both Spanish dance and castanets. Her husband and accompanist was the guitarist Joaquín Roca.
