Czech pop and folk group, specialized on interpreting world music from all continents. Founded in 1946 as the “Phillippines Hawaiians” by Václav Kučera (2) with his wife Marta Kučerová. Renamed to “Skupina Václava Kučery” (Václav Kučera’s Group) in 1952, but since then mostly credited as “Kučerovci”. Marta Kučerová was replaced in 1968 by Kučera’s second wife Olga Kučerová. Since Kučera’s death in 1983 the group is led by Jan Hromas. Still actively performing as of 2010.
