Marty Key is a guitarist/bassist who spent most of his time in Richmond, VA. He went to Virginia Commonwealth University. He worked at Plan 9 records for a time. He moved to New York worked at Academy Records as well as DJ'ing around the city. He moved back to Richmond and helped start a record store called Steady Sounds with his business partner, Drew Snydor in 2010. Eventually, he became the sole proprietor of Steady Sounds in 2015. Steady Sounds closed it's doors on May 31st, 2020.
