Carl T. "Doc" Sprague (May 10, 1895, Houston, Texas - February 21, 1979, Bryan, Texas) was an American country musician. Sprague was often dubbed "The Original Singing Cowboy" and was one of the first country musicians on record, recording in the early 1920s.
