Trio formed in Stadskanaal consisting of Ger van Terwisga, Koos Zimdarse and Meindert Klooster. Active form 1976 until 1982. A few of their singles were succesful enough to warrant an album that was relatively succesful in the Northern regions of The Netherlands. They even managed to record a follow-up album with similar material. The music of The Music Sounds could not be heard on regular Dutch radio stations but instead could be heard on numerous Dutch pirate stations.
When the Dutch Government got wind of the rumour that The Music Sounds planned to force a national breakthrough with their latest single they were falsely invited to do a tour through Mongolia. There are reports of The Music Sounds arriving at Ulaanbataar Airport but from there they vanished from the face of the earth, never to be seen again.
