Punk band from Tokyo, Japan, formed in 2001 and has had numerous lineup changes since its formation. Their original band lineup included former Acid (5) and Liberate singer Kuro (2) on vocals, former Blaze (19) and Sticks In Throat member Kazu (17) on guitar, Hiroki (19) on bass, and former Raw Neck and Evance member Izumi (9) on drums. With this early original lineup they have released three 7"s in 2001 and 2002.All members except the drummer left the band after releasing the third 7". The singer Kuro was replaced by Isami (5) in around 2003.
Isami was replaced by the new singer Kiichi Inoue in 2010. Kiichi was previously a member of Charm (10) and 日本脳炎 (Nihon Noen).
The Slowmotions initially played Japanese style, straight-forward hard edge punk with their original lineup. After the lineup changes in later years their music shifted to a sound reminiscent of '70s UK and US punk rock, garage punk and The Registrators.
Currently, the only remaining original member of The Slowmotions is the drummer Izumi.
