Tom Flaherty
American composer and cellist, born 1950
Earned degrees from Brandeis University, SUNY Stony Brook and the University of Southern California.
His music has been performed throughout Europe and North America and is recorded on the Klavier, Bridge, SEAMUS, Capstone and Advance labels.
He is a member of the American Composers Alliance.
Active as a cellist in the Los Angeles area. He currently holds the John P. and Magdalena R. Dexter Professorship in Music at Pomona College where, despite preferring humans, he happily directs the Electronic Music Studio.
