Group fronted by Herbie Hunte who was from Barbados. They had an album, Soul Of The Matter released on Saga Records Ltd. in 1968. On the 19th of October that year , Herbie & The Royalists and The Evolution played at the the Mistrale club in South East London.

Their song "Dirty Old Town" which was written by all of the group appears on the 1968 Various - Swinging Saga album. Another song of theirs, "I'll Never Stop" appears on the Various - Discotheque Volume 1 released on Boulevard in 1972.
