German ensemble for contemporary music, initiated in 1988 by students of the 'Hochschule der Künste Berlin', where it also served as an educational ensemble for instrument and composition students in the field of 'Neue Musik'. Formerly directed by Friedrich Goldmann. Renamed to Ensemble Mosaik in 1997.
