Antoni Pérez Moya

Real name: Antoni Pérez i Moya

Musician, composer and choir conductor.
(València, June 13, 1884 - Barcelona, March 3, 1964)
Among other important choirs in the city of Barcelona, between 1926 and 1958, he conducted the Orfeó De Sants.
He mainly composed pieces for choir and religious music. He harmonized many traditional Catalan songs. His version of "El rossinyol" is one of the most traditional songs sung by Catalan choirs.
He also composed numerous sardanes, the best known being "Marinada".
Father of Antoni Pérez I Simó.
