Real name: Rodulfo Miguel Vaillant García

Cuban composer *8.5.1942 Santiago de Cuba
Considered by critics and researchers as one of the most important authors in the context of popular Cuban dance music. At the national level, he has about 100 recordings. Several groups artists in North America and the Caribbean perform his music, f.ex. Willy Chirino and Sonora Ponceña
His main work was in the 60s-70s decades, and his songs were made popular by bands as Orquesta Aragón, Estrellas Cubanas, Ritmo Oriental, Maravilla de Florida, Riverside, Pancho El Bravo, Orquesta Revé and later by Los Van Van, Irakere & Chucho Valdés
With his music there are two CDs made in the Siboney Studios of the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM), in Santiago de Cuba. He has more than 80 recordings in Cuba and abroad, and his works appear in Cuban films such as Plaff, En tres y dos, Momentos and in several documentaries.
He was a member of the Central Commission of the Santiago Carnival for 15 years; he helped reorganize the Chepín Chovén orchestra, and supported the creation of the folkloric group Los Folkloyumas, the world-famous Irakere group, directed by maestro Chucho Valdés, and the Son 14 Musical Group. He has worked in charge of music and programming and shows at the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television
