Real name: Lucie Arnon

Lucie Arnon, born on April 7, 1928, is an Israeli soprano singer who was primarily active during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in the Old City of Jerusalem, she is the daughter of Dosia Weinstein and Ezra Bar, making her a fifth-generation Jerusalemite. Her father was a teacher by profession. In 1930, at the age of two, Arnon moved with her family to Durban, South Africa. After a 16-year stay, the family returned to Israel in 1946 and settled in Haifa, where her aunt, married to composer and choir conductor Moshe Bik, lived. Arnon worked as an editor and announcer for the British radio station J.C.L.A in Haifa, broadcasting for British soldiers. During the War of Independence, she joined the Carmel Brigade's entertainment troupe. In 1950, she married Ephraim Arnon, whom she met in the troupe. The couple had a daughter and a son, Mirith and Eldad, in the 1950s.

Arnon participated in the original recording of the opera "Tamar" composed by Marc Lavry in the late 1950s. In the 1960s, she released a record featuring songs by prominent Israeli classical composers. The songs were arranged by Shimon Cohen with the accompaniment of Kol Israel's entertainment orchestra. In addition to her recording career, Arnon performed with Kol Israel's entertainment orchestra, participated in events organized by the Histadrut and the Haifa Workers' Council, and sang mainly in Hebrew, but also in English and Spanish, holding international tours.

Arnon also performed with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, sang with the Haifa Madrigal group, noted for her "clear, pure, and effortless voice," served as a soloist for the Haifa Chamber Choir and the Galilee Singers during their U.S. tour, and frequently appeared in kibbutzim and at Israeli folklore evenings for tourists at the Dan Hotel in Haifa and for tourists on ships docked at Haifa Port.

In 1967, Arnon represented Israel at the Light Music Festival near Sopot, Poland, and participated in a singing festival in Belgium. In the 1980s, she and her husband moved to the United States, where they lived for nearly 27 years before returning to reside in Haifa.
