2-Trance was founded by Jef Buter and Johan de Leeuw. They started with making remixes, but later also own tracks. The track "In My Dreams" became their breakthrough.
Despite of their success, Jef and Johan decided to split up because of a change of interests. Jef decided to continue with 2-Trance and found a new partner in Bas Van Veen, who was already involved in the project for some time.
