Born February 8, 1930 in Trutnov (former Czechoslovakia), died April 4, 2007 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Co-inventor of the fictional character Jára Cimrman and cofounder of the Jára Cimrman Theatre in Prague in 1967. He left the theater after only a few years and continued to develop the Cimrman character on his own under the Salón Cimrman name.
