Yvonne King

Real name: Yvonne King Burch

American vocalist, and one of the The King Sisters.
Born: 20 January 1920 in Ephraim, Utah.
Died: 13 December 2009 in Corona, California (89 years of age).

She was married three times: to bandleaders Buddy Cole and Del Courtney, and to TV writer-director-producer William Burch (from 1966 until his death in 2005).
Known by family and friends as "Vonnie". Mother of actress/singer Tina Cole and singer Cathy Cole.
She spent three decades with the King Sisters, one of the most popular vocal groups of the 1930s and 1940s. She sang with big bands before forming an ensemble with guitarist Alvino Rey. She charted eleven times with her sisters and once with Rey, "Nighty-Night "by Alvino Rey and His Orchestra, with her singing the vocals hit #15 on the U.S. charts in 1941, two months before the King Sister first charted song.
