Danish guitarist, violinist, vocalist, composer and bandleader. Was violinist in DR RadioUnderholdningsOrkestret but is mainly known as guitarist. In the 1950s to 1970s he was a prominent studio musician and has contributed to a large number of recordings. He wrote the winner of the Danish Melodi Grand Prix 1966, "Stop - Mens Legen Er Go'". Erik Kaare also had a career in Danmarks Radio, as a host on well-known programs such as Giro 413, Det er helt dansk, Hej P3, and most recently P60 together with Jørn Hjorting. Erik Kaare died October 2012.
