Teddy Chilambe
Teddy Chilambe was a Zambian folk singer from the Copperbelt region of Zambia. Originally a miner by trade, he rose to prominence in the 1970s with appearances on Zambian television. Chilambe was a socially conscious artist and frequently used his songs to comment on issues affecting the average Zambian, including occasionally tackling social, economic and political issues. Chilambe released a single album, Teddy Chilambe - Chula-Chula in 1977 with the bulk of his releases on singles through the 1980's. He passed away in the early 1990s. His son, Teddy Chilambe Jr has followed in his father's footsteps as a reggae singer.
