Classical tuba player and professor. Born 1947 - Died 26th October 2008.
He attended the Royal College of Music, London. After his studies, he joined the Orchestra Of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden remaining there for three years. In 1969 he joined the New Philharmonia Orchestra/Philharmonia Orchestra, where he would remain until 2006 becoming its Principal Tuba. Aside from performing with the Philharmonia he was a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. He also was Professor of Tuba at the Royal College of Music.
