Eat At Joes

Effective period / Period of releases: 1980

Members: Derek Lovelady, Colin Frost

"Eat At Joes" was a late 1970s five-piece from Liverpool, releasing five singles on the Walsall label "Goldliner records".
An album, "Ghost Hobbies", was also recorded, but never released on record, now available online via iTunes.

The original line-up was:

Colin Frost (guitar),
Derek Lovelady (keyboards),
Kevin Kelly (bass),
Joanne Ellis (vocals),
Buddy (drums).

Joanne, Kevin and Buddy later left, leaving vocals to guitarist Colin Frost, with Les Rogers replacing Kevin on bass and John McQueen joining on
drums, replacing Buddy. Derek on keyboards later joined the band "China Crisis".

In 1980 the band recorded two britfunk singles under the pseudonyms "Altitude" and "E.A.J All-Stars", which also featured session work by
Mel Collins (formerly in UK soul outfit Kokomo), on sax and flute.
