Don Lanier

Real name: Donnie “Dirt” Henson Lanier

American rockabilly singer, songwriter and guitarist.
Born July 13th, 1936. Died July 23th, 2014.
He played guitar starting from his childhood and became later a famous songwriter ("Party Doll", "Here We Go Again") and composer. He worked along with Jimmy Bowen and Buddy Knox, when playing lead guitar for The Rhythm Orchids. As songwriter he was working for such artists as Hank Snow, Nancy Sinatra, Lee Hazlewood, Ray Charles and even Norah Jones.
Especially at the start of his career in the late 1950's, Don Lanier used different variations of his name for performing: Donny Lanier, Donnie Lanier, Donnie La Near, Donnie 'Dirt' Lanier and he was Don of Don & The Roses.
