The Ascots

Members: Ted Medbury, Rick Desilets, Vin Medbury

1960s garage rock band from Barrington, in the East Bay area of Rhode Island.

Formed in 1965, disbanded in 1968. Notable for their five minute version of Wilson Pickett’s song, “In The Midnight Hour” which was released as their first single on Super Records.

Members included:
Rick Desilets - Lead vocal, Rhythm guitar
Peter Mayhew - Lead guitar
Vinton Medbury - Manager and Keyboards
Ted Medbury - Drums
Mark Vinbury - Bass

The Medbury Brothers with Mark Vibury formed The White Wash (3) which evolved to Deviled Ham. The Medburys also went on to form The Movies (5) in 1977.
