Aroma Di Amore was a Belgian post-wave band consisting of core members Elvis Peeters (vocals), Fred Angst (guitar) and Lo Meulen (bass). In the four decades of their existence, Aroma Di Amore has left an undeniable mark in Belgium's rock history. The band debuted in 1982 and immediately gained acclaim after Humo's Rock Rally (contest) final. Fourty years after the first concert (in the legendary Antwerp venue De Muze), Aroma Di Amore put an end to their career in 2022 with a farewell concert in the Brussels AB.
Six albums, a lot of maxi’s, mini’s, compilations and hundreds of gigs in Belgium and Europe: been there, done that. The band reinvented themselves at numerous occasions and every time they have been followed and appreciated by the fans and the press for their uncompromising and original post-wave music . In 2018 they were represented in an exhibition about flemish and dutch music (Lang leve de muziek, Sint-Pietersabdij, Gent) and in 2022 a reissue-box with all their eighties records, Zwarte Doos (Black Box), was released.
