Gunnar Ljungstedt

Real name: Nils Gunnar ”Gurra” Ljungstedt

Swedish musician (drummer), born July 21, 1952 in Enskede parish. He was a member of the music groups Ebba Grön 1977–1983 and Imperiet 1983–1985.

Ljungstedt began his career in the band The Fajts, but in 1977 became drummer in the Swedish punk band Ebba Grön. When Ebba Grön split in 1983, Ljungstedt joined Joakim Thåström and Stry Terrarie in the band Rymdimperiet, which later became Imperiet. He left the Empire in 1985, and was replaced by Fred Asp. He has also played with Nike Markelius from Tant Strul, then under the band name Nike Gurra and he played bass with Markoolio on his summer tour in 2003. Nowadays Ljungstedt works at Teater Tribunalen in Stockholm and plays drums in the band Farsta.
