St. Louis, Missouri punk / new wave group which made air time on local radio and contributed to the Test Patterns compilation. The Mopeds did not perform in the local clubs due to owners being unfamiliar with New Wave music comparing it to the perceived antisocial nature of punk. Instead they concentrated their efforts on recording cassette tapes, sending them to Disk Jockey's and record labels. Members included Dale Lewis, Jeff Hunter, Dave Hatina and Alan Coalson.
