John Lee Granderson
Blues singer and guitarist, born 1913 in Ellendale, Tennessee, died August 22, 1979 in Chicago.
Granderson settled in Chicago to work outside music in 1928; played with Sonny Boy Williamson in the 1930s, suffered injury and worked full-time in music from 1964.
Recorded by Pete Welding 1962-1964 (mostly released on Welding's Testament label), also backing other blues artists such as Robert Nighthawk, Big Joe Williams, and Big John Wrencher.
