Speaking Silence were born in 1993 from an encounter between two Parisian musicians, Carla Picchiantano and Alain Gradiere. They are particularly reminiscent of bands like the Cocteau Twins and have an ethereal and dreamy sound. After the third album the band tried to change their sound towards gothic metal and disappeared from radars for good.
Later Speaking Silence members were found in Am'Ganesha'n.
