Biography
Posthuman
Real name: Posthuman
Effective period / Period of releases: 2008
Posthuman formed at the end of 2007, in the North of the Netherlands.Assembling an innovative mix of power and melody by combining thrash metal elements with synthesizer sounds, it reminds one of modern melodic metal bands like Killswitch Engage, Scar Symmetry or even In Flames.
After the summer of 2008, Posthuman came out of the shadow of obscurity with a well-received demo, 'Into The Void'. Following that release, Posthuman presented itself on festival and club stages alike alongside (world) famous bands like Mortiis, Autumn, Heidevolk, Murder Manifest, Non-Divine, and many more.
Continuing this distinctive path, Posthuman presented its debut full-length album, ‘Rise From Ruins’, in July 2010. Next to a solo performed by Revamp guitarist Jord Otto, a remarkable grunt choir was used for the track “Ashes To Ashes”.
