Real name: Red, White & Blue

Effective period / Period of releases: 1975

Members: Herman Van Boeyen, Eelco Gelling, Harry Muskee, Lourens Leeuw, Frank Nuyens

Red, White & Blue was an attempt of Dutch DJ Willem van Kooten (aka Joost den Draaijer) to form a supergroup. He brought together Harry 'Cuby' Muskee and guitarist Eelco Gelling who had been on hiatus after the break up of Cuby + Blizzards, guitarist Frank Nuyens of Q65, session man Lourens Leeuw on bass and Herman van Boeijen on drums. The name 'Red, White & Blue' was an idea of Golden Earring vocalist Barry Hay. George Kooymans, also from the Golden Earring, volunteered to be the producer.
Unfortunately bringing together talented individuals doesn't mean that the product is of a high level. Harry Muskee couldn't get along with Herman van Boeijen, who according to George Kooymans, was a pain in the studios from day one. The album did not fare well. The single did not chart. The final blow came in 1976 when Harry Muskee and Eelco Gelling accepted an invitation from former Blizzard keyboard player Herman Brood to reform Cuby + Blizzards.
