The Heaters
Members: John Jensen (9), Ib Monrad Hansen, Erik Larsen (11), Georg Andersen (2), Erling Thomsen
Danish 1960's The Kinks-inspired rock group from Valby, formed I 1964.Mk. I line up:
Georg Andersen (lead-g, vo)
Erling Thomsen (rhythm-g)
John Jensen (el-b)
Erik Larsen (dm).
Evolved into a quartet in September 1964 with the addition of:
Ib Monrad (lead-vo, hca) (ex-The Clidows)
Won the title as "Denmark's Kinks" in a 1965 contest and wa awarded a recording session with the Music Corner label. The recorded single with "Walking Down The i Street" written by Andersen and Thomsen didn't impress the label so the recording was only released in a few promo/test press copies.
By the end of 1965 the original The Heaters disbanded and sold their name, contracts and gear to five other local musicians.

This group dissolved in 1968 after these replacements:
