An English Psychedelic Pop-Rock band that evolved from Clive Griffiths' group, 'Take 5'. Formed in Southport, Lancashire, in October 1965, they continued under this name until their last Deram single failed and Chris Holmes (he later joined Babe Ruth) departure in 1970, at which point they chose to rename themselves Patto. Timebox recorded two singles for Piccadilly Records, furthermore between 1967 and 1969 also five singles for Deram. With the Four Seasons track Beggin' they entered in July 1968 #38 of the UK-Charts. After the short Patto Reunion, only with several Gigs, Keith Ellis, Mike Patto (2), Ollie Halsall, Tony Newman formed 1975 Boxer (2). [06-2020]
